Flat-footed, boggle-eyed and with an abnormally low sex drive newly awakened by medication, twenty three year-old Stefan Kiszko (Tony Maudsley) was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1976 for the murder of 11 year-old Lesley Molseed. The forensic evidence was always available that would have proved his innocence. The world thought he was a monster, his mother (Olympia Dukakis) knew he was innocent. Only a love as strong as hers could get him out of jail -but then only a love that strong would have put him there in the first place. A LIFE FOR A LIFE follows a mother's 16-year fight for justice for her son. It's a story of love, forgiveness and redemption that takes the viewers through the trial and imprisonment to the eventual vindication of Stefan Kiszko.
